Amazon Promise responds to an enormous local need by offering essential medical, dental, health education and training services from our base in Iquitos, Peru and via outreach trips to 32 remote river villages.

In addition, we are building local capacity through our self-sustaining medical clinic and training center in Belén, an especially neglected and impoverished town adjacent to Iquitos.

All our non-profit services are respectful of local cultures, incorporating traditional medicine through shamanic and ethno-botanical treatments in conjunction with Western medical practices.

We also provide quarterly Family Planning Clinics and Medical Clinics in villages in the lower Ucayali River with the support of the Ministry of Health.
